Professor James Trevelyan is the founder and CEO of Close Comfort, an Australian start-up with a mission to provide environment-friendly cooling solutions.

They recently expanded to Singapore and is on a mission to provide affordable and efficient cooling solutions that are sustainable causing minimal harm to the environment.

Prior to Close Comfort, Professor Trevelyan had already established a reputation for building inventions that generate positive societal and environmental impact.

His research on engineering practices and infrastructure development in low-income countries continues to this day.

Professor Trevelyn is a recipient of the prestigious Engineers Australia medal for his meritorious service, and author of the book, The Making of an Expert Engineer.
