What You Missed At hrtech.sg Demo Hour

[callout]The first edition of the Demo Hour series brings HRTech service providers and the HR fraternity on a single platform to accelerate the adoption of HR technologies. The event stuck to its tagline of “No preachy presentations. Just high-quality demos of HR Technology solutions”[/callout]

The Singapore government has been encouraging businesses in Singapore to transform by adopting technology in all aspects of running the business, including the Human Resources (HR) function.

New-age HR Technology (HRTech) solutions can minimize many time-consuming transactional HR tasks and free-up bandwidth for HR professionals to do more strategic work.

In an effort to accelerate the technology adoption by the HR fraternity, hrtech.sg  has embarked on HRTech Demo Hour event series to evangelize and promote the use of HR technologies.

What makes the event different from others is that instead of the problem the audience gets a chance to witness live demos of the products that solve their problems, rather than the presentation of concepts.

The series kicked off at the lively WeWork Suntec (Singapore) facility on 4 Sep 2019. The inaugural session hosted three leading solution providers showcasing their products in the “Talent Engagement and Performance management” space:

  1. Chris Teo, CEO – Mednefits (“Employee Wellness”)
  2. Duncan Pereira, Director – Customer Experience, JustLogin ( “Human Resource Management Systems”)
  3. Shankar Krishnamoorthy, CEO – Synergita, (“Employee Performance Management”)

The event unfolded with a keynote by Philippa (Pip) Penfold, Co-Founder and CEO – People Collider.

Pip set the stage by presenting the findings of “The state of HR and Tech in APAC survey 2019”.

She emphasized that the need of the hour is not only “digitisation” but “digitalisation” and that bringing employee value creation & employee experience is equally important as efficient processes.

The survey listed Performance management, Recruitment and Application tracking, Core HR /HRIS, People Analytics and Payroll as the top five processes under consideration for a technology purchase.

Chris Teo, CEO of Mednefits demonstrated their HR- and employee-friendly mobile app, which provides an all-in-one platform to manage employee healthcare benefits in a seamless & paperless fashion.

He showed how can the HR teams use analytics from the data collected on Mednefits platform to help reward employees better and lower their healthcare costs.

Chris passed the baton to Duncan Pereira, Director – Customer experience, JustLogin. JustLogin is a pioneer in the industry, being around for almost 2 decades.

JustLogin offers a suite of HR & office collaborative applications, that helps enhance staff productivity and efficiency by streamlining work processes and communication channels; conducting surveys; managing office resources, and facilitating effective communication).

Duncan gave the audience a sneak peek to the newly launched JustMobile, the mobile application and its features.

Shankar Krishnamoorthy, CEO Synergita showcased their cloud-based Continuous Employee Performance Management & Engagement Software designed for Millennials.

Shankar showed the attendees how Synergita empowers organizations to manage employee information; set clear & measurable goals; track & monitor employees’ progress; review competencies & performance; engage & recognize employees through continuous feedback; conduct 360-degree feedback; & delivers 35+ operations and analytics reports to support business decisions.

Shankar gave the attendees an insight into Synergita’s mobile platform which allows managing employee performance and recognition on the go.

The inaugural session hrtech.sg Demo Hour event received an overwhelming response from the HR fraternity and HR Tech enthusiasts.
