Singapore Human Resources Institute partners with Apac’s top HR Tech accelerator
SINGAPORE, 14th August 2020 – The world of work and the HR profession is undergoing a rapid change at present due to the massive array of new practices that are being adopted to cope with the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Today, two leading lights in HR and technology ecosystems have announced a partnership to help solve the challenges that companies are facing today.
Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHR) and The Workplace Accelerator have today announced their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to further the adoption and awareness of HR Tech across APAC.
The Workplace Accelerator powered by Veremark is APAC’s leading programme dedicated to identifying and scaling the best early stage HR Tech ventures in South East Asia.
The programme is designed to help up to ten of the best ventures focused on any of five key categories, that includes Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Productivity and Collaboration, HR & Admin and Workforce Management, to get in front of as many relevant key decision makers as possible.
At the same time, HR professionals are now being asked to solve a wider range of issues than ever before whilst helping companies to maintain optimum productivity.
In overcoming these obstacles whether it be how to keep a workforce engaged or hire remotely or maintain an entirely virtual company culture, many of the traditional analogue methods will not suffice.
As such, through SHRI using the accelerator as a platform to gather the best of breed and expose them to their members in one go after a heavy curation process will ensure they are all kept at the forefront of innovation.
The MOU will enable the selected start-ups co-working space at the SHRI’s new office and open the possibility for joint ventures with the SHRI as they develop.
Members of the SHRI will also have the chance to become corporate mentors of the programme as well so they can be more closely involved throughout the 12 week virtual accelerator.
The Workplace Accelerator’s Founder & Veremark.com’s CEO, Daniel Callaghan, said “We continue to believe that HRTech has the power to be a force for good. Partnering with the SHRI is a fantastic step in helping to elevate the potential for our leading ventures to get exposure and traction across the SHRI members. The SHRI team’s insight in shaping the programme, helping to choose the participants and then supporting their growth will be invaluable. We are excited to be working with them.”
SHRI welcomed this initiative by echoing the belief that HR Tech can change and improve the involvement of the HR function in influencing key business issues as well as those focused on people management.
“With COVID-19’s disruption, we see the growth of HR Tech and Work Tech as an even greater driving force in shaping the new normal of the workforce and the HR’s role. The ability to support this initiative, provide our members with exposure into the latest technology and trends whilst incorporating the learnings into our future programmes is an exciting partnership. We look forward to collaborating with the Workplace Accelerator to equally achieve their goals of making HR Tech a force for good in the region” said Alvin Goh, Executive Director of SHRI.
For start-ups looking to benefit from this initiative, do apply before August 31st at Workplace Accelerator Application.
