10 Fantastic Recruitment Blogs You Should Be Reading

“I love to read recruiting manuals, watch hours-long training videos and attend full-day recruiting training”, says no recruiters ever.

The pace of work is getting so fast that we barely have time to take a pee break. But we still have to keep up with the times and continuously update our brainware.

I love reading recruiting blogs – they have fresher content and provide excellent insights and opinions from experts and thought leaders directly.

Before this was possible, you probably had to pay thousands of dollars to hear them speak. Now you just need internet access.

If you want to be at the forefront of recruitment, you must read these ten recruitment blogs. I subscribe to every single one of them, and it helps me maintain my edge in the world of recruitment.

1. ERE


ERE was created in 1998 as an online gathering place for recruiters to network, share best practices and above all else, learn from each other. Today the site is best known for its prompt delivery of need-to-know information aimed explicitly at corporate recruiting professionals.

ERE is a good site for corporate recruiting opinion pieces, and it is THE place for corporate opinion pieces. If a survey has been released to do with any aspect of the industry, ERE will be there first to tell you how it will affect you, your job and your hires, and how you can deal with it in the best way.

2. Greg Savage


Over a career spanning thirty years, Greg Savage has been a leader in the global recruitment industry and is a regular keynote speaker at staffing conferences worldwide.

He is the founder of four highly successful businesses; Recruitment Solutions (taken to IPO). In addition, firebrand Talent Search (trade sale), Eloquent Staffing (trade sale), and People2People (currently Director and Owner) were voted the most influential recruiter in Australia in the past 60 years.

In recognition of his contribution to the Australian recruitment industry, Greg was made an Honorary Life Member of the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (RCSA) in 2004.
