Grabjobs Revolutionises Recruitment By Getting Rid Of The CV

New feature allows job seekers to apply for jobs without profile creation or CV submission

Singapore: GrabJobs, a Singapore-based mobile-first Job Platform focused on entry to mid-level jobs, today announced the launch of a new feature that allows job seekers to apply for jobs without having to fill in a profile or upload a CV.

GrabJobs was the first Job Board in Asia to develop an interview chatbot that screens applicants as they apply for jobs. They are now leveraging that technology to eliminate CVs.

GrabJobs CEO and Co-Founder Mr. Emmanuel Crouy said, “It is an established fact that lengthy online job application forms or profile creation forms result in a high drop-out rate for applicants. Job seekers want an easier job application process. Our new feature will make redundant the need to fill out identical online application forms across platforms; instead, you respond to a handful of interview questions that are directly related to the job requirements.”

The interview chat bot is able to ask specific questions relevant to the job opening, and then automatically use the answers given by job seekers to dynamically populate information into their profile.

When job seekers apply for another job through the GrabJobs portal, that data gets populated into their profile as well, allowing the job matching algorithm to better recommend the most relevant jobs and increasing the chances of them getting a better job fit.

Employers, on the other hand, are able to immediately see whether applicants fit the minimum requirements and can then request additional information or schedule shortlisted applicants for an interview.

Mr. Crouy states, “filtering applicants first by minimum requirements before requesting additional information increases the applicant rate on average by 40% versus the traditional way of requesting a CV first.”

The new dynamic profile creation feature is available on Android and Web, and coming soon to iOS.

Emmanuel has also mentioned that their technology team has started implementing Machine Learning to improve their Applicant and Jobs recommendation engines.

GrabJobs recently announced an additional SGD $1m from seed funding, bringing total funding to over SGD$2.6 million. They have also been releasing a slew of new features for both job seekers and employers.
